I created Rare Essays as an alternative to SparkNotes and other scattered academic resources, without the intent of replacing them, but complementing them to cover more obscure works or simply present position papers that go into more specifics than other resources. Sometimes, we cover standard and popular stuff too, because who are we to discard perfectly acceptable content? These essays represent a variety of papers across many academic topics, mostly focused on the liberal arts and social sciences.
In what feels like many years ago now, I earned degrees in Economics, Philosophy, and Political Science. I also have a doctorate in Economics. While I’ve written several articles you see here based on my college experience, a lot of these articles are sourced, with appropriate rights, from several writers around the world (as any blog with this level of content would likely need to do!)
